Terrible, terrible service. If all you want is a "sorry for the inconvenience sir, please be patient", if you dont mind not being able to smtp mail, if you dont want to be able to access your control panel, if you enjoy smart alec "support"personel who dont follow through on what they have promised and if your looking for ASP.net hoster who doesn;t have any one on their support desk who actually programs in ASP.Net, "sorry we only program in Perl", then by all means sign up with them. ... just dont believe any of the guarantees and claims made on their homepage especially about Live 24 hour support. Its down at 30% of the time you go to use it. Which is often because so is eveything else. Hopeless, useless, terrible service. Be Warned. If your setting up as a reseller you will not have any custoemrs left after a couple of months with these amateurs. And dont expect their Admin team to come in on weekends no matter how bad the problem is. They are Monday to Friday only. No matter what!

Down about once or twice a week. Seemed much better when this was hosted at a Florida site, but horrible now that it's in California (Hurricaine CA!!) Don't know how many servers they have, but mine seems to be down a lot. Looking for another...will switch within 1st qtr of 2005...started with them in '03...hate switching...

Horrible service. They claim they have a 24/7 service but you can never speak with noone in there! It's always unnatended, it's 3 days by now they did something to ther mail servers and still cannot fix it. Of course their "Current network status" shows a nice "no know issues", the name for that is lying. I have opened tickets with no answer at all after 48 hours. They claim 99,99% of no downtime, this is an absolute lie. If I'm working with my sites 8 hours a day, I can expect a downtime of 4 hours a week (maybe more!). I'm moving right away to never come back. good bye hostdepartment.

I have been with Host Department for almost a year. I have their "Unlimited" plan but ever since the beginning, I keep getting emails from them saying I am in violation and have to reduce my bandwidth, file size, or database size. Now lately their servers keep going down ALL THE TIME!! Currently none of my sites are functional! At first I thought they were providing a great deal but now I know it is not worth it. I found a www rdollc com has a unlimited plan also and have not had any problems with them so far! Stay away from Host Department!!!

Worst hosting service I have ever used.. Site goes down all the time, Live chat support did not know what they were doing. Site was hacked. Even after I canceled my service with them they charged my CC. ' Stay away!

All the web host forums are full of really BAD discussions about the company. I even know resellers who have complained to BBB and Consumer Affair Department. First, I think all those who use HD services are either IT people or know IT to a certain limit. Let's think guys: "Any network issue (even setting up a complete hosting infrastructure from scratch would have finished" Conclusion could be any of: "They are going down (closing)" "They are moving to another host provider" "They have reached their hosting limits and cannot afford to pay more to exapnd" Facts we have: This is an LLC company formed in Delaware state (owner is Indian not living in the US). This means that he can close the company down and vanish (no legal committment). Final Conclusion: Get away as quickly as possible.

The worst managed business in the world. They may have once been a legitiment business but now their incapable of keeping their servers up. They are completely incompetent and don't care. Avoid them like the Plague. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

I am grateful to Hostdepartment support staff as they helped me resolve the problemm immediately besides staff was very kind during the conversation please give the staff my best regards. And to be mentioned that this is not strange at Hostdepartment it's their habit to be helpful and extreme.
