signed up, but the ad's are way over the top, pop-ups on pop-ups and it wants to install all sorts of stuff. I will not subject my visitors to that, their ad's are out of control. forget this free host side anyhow. it's too much ads! one banner is fine, two ok. but six pop-ups and installers and new windows opening everywher, nope.

Netfirms just desapeared! without any information to their customers!!!! But..before that, Netfirms was a great hosting site! I really hope they will be "on air" very soon! Aldrovando S.

This company is terrible!! Their customer service was non existant, they messed up my domain transfer as well as my site when I attempted to upload. My site was down for a week. NEVER AGAIN!! I went to another provider and it was smooth as silk.

I've been using Netfirms for just over a year now and watched my site grow from none to over 10,000 visitors a month. Netfirms is a terrific place to start your site because they are highly reliable - my site hasn't been down once - they don't insist that you buy your domain name from them so you can shop around for the cheapest registrar; they allow SSI and CGI even on their free accounts; and they don't stop you advertising on your free account to make seed money for your site. Best yet, when your site grows enough to exceed the free bandwith their plans start at a rediculously low $5 a month and they throw in a whole bunch of other stuff to make your life even easier. So far I am very satisfied with Netfirms and would strongly recommend any website newbies to start with 'em. Check them out. R. Salazar

The Netfirms Advangage plan is fantastic for a small business. It includes a free top domain name (forever) and Free Website design software. The hosting features are also perfect for a midsized e-commerce Website including 500MB of disk space 10GB of transfer, 10 MySQL databases, SSL certificate, shopping cart scripts, and support for PHP, CGI (perl), SSI and all file types. In addition, their 24/7 support is excellent. All my e-mails have been answered in minutes.

I used to love freeservers, but now you have to pay for file caching. Regardless of whether you are a paying customer or not, many times I have not seen the revised page for hours - sometimes the whole weekend. I no longer have a website with them. I have had free sites and paid sites and both times, this year, have been bad. I have referred many people to them. I am working on getting all of them to move to other webhosts because of the file caching thing. I also had to move my website because for some reason my CSS was not rendering correctly. I thought I had done something wrong until I moved the site to another webhost. My website is now looking the way I want it to look.

I received unreliable log information, and a horrible customer service.I do not recomend signing up with netfirms.
